You Can Be Good At Change Too!

January 7, 2026

In a world that is constantly evolving, the need for building resiliency has never been more important. In my very first podcast episode, I share my background and insights on the four foundational pillars of change that can lead to lasting and positive transformations in our lives. Whether you’re seeking personal growth or professional development, these principles can guide you on your journey.

The Four Foundations:

Be Curious: The first foundation of change is curiosity. I encourage you to adopt a curious mindset, and to reflect on your life and consider what changes you desire. Curiosity opens the door to new possibilities and encourages exploration. For instance, if you’ve been feeling stagnant in your career, asking questions like “What do I truly want?” or “What skills can I develop?” can ignite the spark needed for change.

Be Active: The second pillar is about being active. This means trying new things and experimenting with different paths. This exploration can help with determining the direction you want to take in life. For example, if you’re contemplating a career shift, taking a class or volunteering in a new field can provide valuable insights and experiences that inform your next steps.

Take Action: The third foundation is taking action. This involves implementing structured changes and setting up accountability measures to ensure progress. It’s important to create a plan and stick to it, as action is what turns dreams into reality. For instance, if your goal is to improve your health, establishing a workout routine and tracking your meals can help you stay committed and motivated.

Reflection: Lastly, reflection is a critical component of the change process. You should regularly review your progress and make adjustments as necessary. This reflection allows you to evaluate how well your changes align with your core values and purpose. For example, after a few months of working towards your goals, take time to assess what’s working, what isn’t, and how you can realign your efforts for better results.

By embracing these principles, you can create a structured approach to personal growth that leads to meaningful and lasting transformation. Remember, change is a process, and by being intentional about it, you can achieve the life you desire.

Key Takeaways:
1. Embrace curiosity to explore new possibilities.
2. Be active by trying new things and experimenting with your path.
3. Take structured action to make your goals a reality.
4. Reflect regularly to ensure your changes align with your purpose.
